I started The Roy Legacy Fund in memory of Hirendranath Roy, Sucharita Roy, Biswanath Roy and Kamala Roy. They did not leave behind a foundation or a fortune. They left behind a way of living: quietly, generously, and with faith in other people.
The fund begins as a personal family commitment. One person, every year. A small amount, honestly delivered. No salaries, no administrative deduction, and no donations accepted until the structure is ready for them.
My hope is not to build something loud. It is to keep a promise long enough that it becomes larger than the person who began it.
