Why only one recipient a year?+
Because we would rather keep a small promise for a hundred years than a large one for five. Consistency is the whole point.
Why does the award begin at €500 (approx. ₹55,000)?+
Because that is what we can offer, honestly, on day one. The number will grow as it can. We would rather begin small and true than large and uncertain.
Who can apply?+
Any hardworking individual in India with a clear commitment to their pursuit — in any field, at any age. There are no diploma requirements, no minimum age, no maximum age.
Do you take donations?+
Not yet. For now, the fund is entirely founder funded. When we open donations, we will do so slowly and openly.
How much of my contribution reaches the recipient?+
One hundred percent. There are no salaries, no offices, no overhead. This is a promise we intend to keep for as long as the fund exists.
When will the first recipient be announced?+
The first recipient will be announced in 2027, ahead of the first award. The application process is currently in preview stage and will formally open some months before the first award cycle.
